In a recent article entitled “The End of an Era? How the ABC Test Could Affect Your Use of Independent Contractors,” Forbes magazine discusses the ABC Test, which the California Supreme Court announced as law earlier this year in Dynamex Operations West, Inc. v. Superior Court of Los Angeles County (click here for the California Supreme Court opinion).
According to Forbes, the Dynamex ruling “has slashed the number of people eligible for independent contractor status” in California and has “made it more difficult for businesses to classify workers as independent contractors.” Read the full article here.
