by | Dec 8, 2019 | Harassment, Retaliation

Chipotle “will pay $95,000 and make substantial changes to settle a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).”

According to the EEOC, Austin Melton, a San Jose, California Chipotle store manager who was 22 years old at the time, endured “pervasive verbal and physical harassment by his female supervisor.” Among other things, his supervisor “propositioned Melton . . . for sex . . . and posted a ‘scoreboard’ in the main office to track the staff’s sexual activities.” Read the full EEOC press release, entitled “Chipotle to Pay $95,000 to Settle EEOC Sexual Harassment and Retaliation Lawsuit,” here.
